The ship and the layout

The Tempo is a tough, beautifully lined but also sturdy and heavily built ship. The ship is in good condition, inspection reports are plenty available, both from the time that the ship was active in service and as being a houseboat.

Tempo temporarily moored in Groningen
Unique to the Tempo is that the ship is completely in original condition. That is, the cargo hold is completely intact, and thus provides in the capability to achieve your very own dream of living on the water.
Layout: from back to front.
The stern.
The stern is a complete independent 'house' comprising from back to front: the deckhouse, the wheelhouse and kitchen. The part of the ship is central heated and still has the original paneling. The panelling is simple but attractive with many unique details.
The deckhouse
The deckhouse has a large skylight and portholes all around, it has traditionally been the home of the captain and his two crew members. Adjacent there is a shower with toilet. In addition to the central heating, there is a small heater for the direct radiant heat. In the deckhouse are all the necessary modern connections: fiberglass for internet, telephone and TV.

The engine room
The engine is a 150hp Deutz 428 SAM at 600 rpm, the hydraulic gearbox is a Reintjes EA.
The engine is built in to the detail exactly as Deutz recommended, it is almost a museum.
The engine has been overhauled, is in very good condition and runs beautifully. After revision of cylinders and pistons and renewal of all valves and valve guides, the engine has run about 400 hours, which means that it may be considered as technically new.
In the engine room there is also a central heating divice and the 'dirty water' installation.
The wheelhouse
The authentic wheelhpouse is heavily built of mahogany, degradable if necessary.
In the wheelhouse are present all the necessary instrumentation, VHF radio, radar, beautiful compass on a original compas-column, a nice steering wheel, depth sounder, searchlight, fog horn, etc. From the wheelhouse with windows all around there is a great view overlooking the Ertshaven and the IJ phenomenally. You can literally see the sun come up in the east every day and watch the sunset in the west. It is always very nice sitting and enjoying the wheelhouse.

The hold
the hold is impressive and huge .. with a magnicifent lightfall. The hold is 26.5 meters long, 5:40 meters wide and a height of average 3m.50. Because of the magnitude the hold can provide an almost endless variety of possible plans and layouts to realize a confortable watervilla. The hold is now in use as a furniture workshop, but will be delivered completely empty. The hold is in original condition. This creates a complete freedom, there will be no need to tear down or demolish an old invertory, the actual possibilities are presently visible and accessiblel.

The forecastle
Before the hold is the forecastle, here a generator Hatz silent pack 220-380V 17.5 KVA is installed. (the generator is from here , from the hold and from the wheelhouse operable) Here originally the ship supplies, painting tools and supplies have been stored.
The forepeak
Up front there is the forepeak where the anchor chain is stored and what originally was a ballast space.
The underwater hull
The underwater ship meets all the requirements that may be set. It has already been protected against corrosion by means of "cathodic protection" for more than 15 years. This combined with one of the best paintingsystems the 2 comp. system from Jotun offers the best protection possible. Many underwater hull rapports are available.
On deck
On the current middle deck there is a hydraulic crane with a lifting capacity of 750 kg. Under the middle deck there are two large deckstores. In front there are also two deckstores and a 24 V. operating windlass.
